Fashionably late

Yeah, I know. I promised to write a Flash Fiction story every week. And I still intend to do so. But emotions cannot be forced. Not even by time. It took me longer than I thought to get things, or rather myself, moving again. Oh well, what is time anyway? A man-made method to record what has been and what is yet to come.

I can make plans, but now that I know that life can be over in a flash of a second, I also know that all those beautiful plans are nothing more than that. A beautiful plan. Feasibility? Nobody knows. Should I still worry and draw up schedules, fill calendars with deadlines, fill notepads with new ideas and possible plots for new stories? Or should I just do what I actually, unconsciously, always do - and did. Write into the dark. Just let it come?

Well finally, though fashionably late, that's what I did. I sat down and started writing again. This week the first Flash Fiction story. Of course with the same title as this blog... Free to download for a week (then read for a modest fee) here

Synopsis: After a long and happy marriage, expectations are often high. Sometimes a little more for one than for the other. But… who actually knows the other best?

You can find / order printed merchandise of this week's Moment in Time, "Fashionably Late" - as pictured above - here.
